Here’s What REAL Team Builders Know
Can YOUR team grow a team around them?
Someone says “We’re just a small team.”
I say, if you like taking a vacation, and fewer “urgent” weekend calls, you need redundancy in your team so there is adequate coverage.
A larger team (once you know how to grow and manage one) is often more stable and typically more profitable, IF your key numbers make sense. Don’t put the cart before the horse.
Here’s what REAL team builders know.
If your leaders can’t grow a team, they aren’t leaders, they are
managers.
Nothing wrong with managers, but managers and team builders are often “wired” very differently.
One is not better than the other. This depends on goals, life plans, current stage of life, and many other things.
Some people are in a season of seeking stability and comfort, while others are seeking growth and expansion.
This week we are speaking about a topic called “Division of Labor.”
Do you also think it’s interesting that CEOs who can run one successful company often run 3-4-5 successful companies?
That’s because they know a leader isn’t always a manager and they know how to divide labor intelligently.
Otherwise, it’s a blame game, infighting and chaos.
Very expensive chaos.
I’m curious to know if you have taken any leadership training, or have heard anything similar?
We are gearing up our leadership development curriculum and workshops at Inner Circle because it’s conversations like these that make the difference between success and failure.
